Who am I?
I am Kel, and I live here.
I am a wife, an aunt, a daughter, and a sister. I am a small business owner, and a university graduate. I grew up in Kelowna, BC. I live in Lethbridge, AB. I am a shop-local enthusiast, a minimalist, and a total nerd when it comes to public policy and community building. I am a story teller. I am 31 years old, and in 2021 I am running for the position of City Councillor in Lethbridge, Alberta. Photo Credit: Douglas Mackintosh Photography 2015 |
Platform Overview
Lethbridge is a beautiful city with a rich and diverse history. I am passionate about living and working here, building my business and my family here, and I am excited about the possibility to serve my community. Here are the top 3 things that I think are important in Lethbridge, but there are so many more opportunities to improve our city and region.
Inclusive Culture
Lethbridge is strongest when we are inclusive of all cultures, races, religions, nationalities, genders, and sexualities.

Supporting Local
If the backbone of our economy is our small businesses, why is starting and growing a business in Lethbridge so difficult? From exclusive policies and procedures to unfair tax assessments and development patterns, this City could benefit from a holistic business approach.

Climate & the Environment
We are windy, and we are sunny; two prime examples of renewable energy. Our climate is fragile, and our environment faces many risks and dangers in the coming decades. We need a pro-active approach to elevating Lethbridge's response to the impending climate crisis.
